A Smart, Swoony Night of Jazz, Pop, and Great American Songbook Favorites—With True Tales of Love and Legendary Heartbreak

New York, NY — Long before she lit up 42nd Street, vocalist Lacy Miller was stopping traffic—literally. Her childhood “Broadway on the Driveway” performances with her sister became an unexpected sensation in St. Louis, drawing large crowds and even a visit from the local police.
Not long after, Lacy’s voice caught the attention of Tony Award–winning composer Marvin Hamlisch, who selected her as a finalist in his Star Search concert in St. Louis.
“I was only 12 years old at the time,” Miller recalls. “Backstage, I remember saying, ‘Oh, Mr. Hamlisch, isn’t this the most beautiful theatre you’ve ever seen?’ He grunted and said, ‘Yeah, it’s all right,’ then made a hilarious comment about my Fiddler on the Roof–inspired costume. I’ll be sharing his memorable words to me in my upcoming show!”
Lacy soon became a fixture in the musical theatre scene, performing at The Muny, the Dale Williams Fine Arts Center, and the Scheidegger Center. She also formed a jazz duo with her sister, Gracie & Lacy, and began touring nationally—performing for royalty and even astronauts at NASA. Her career highlights include appearances on HBO, featured performances with the Charleston Symphony and North Charleston Pops, Spoleto Festival, and headlining a popular residency at Forte Jazz Lounge.
In 2025, Lacy stood on the famed Grand Ole Opry stage to receive Vocalist of the Year (Adult Contemporary) at the Josie Awards. The honor recognized not only her voice, but also her work as a songwriter, as she prepares to release her debut original album.
On February 13, Lacy brings her irresistible magnetism Off-Broadway to 42nd Street in STUPID CUPID at the Laurie Beechman Theatre. With warmth, wit, and vocal fire, Miller delivers decades of stage savvy, backed by a world-class jazz trio and emceed by comedian Jonathan Dickson (30 Rock, Boardwalk Empire, Breaking Vegas). Stupid Cupid is romantic, hilarious, and achingly familiar—because love is messy, and the best songs prove it.
Whether you’re a hopeless romantic, a seasoned cynic, or somewhere in between, Stupid Cupid promises an unforgettable night where music, storytelling, and heart collide—right in the heart of New York City.
Because falling in love is optional.
Falling for the music is not.
