Lacy Miller Returns with Emotional New Single “One More Dance”

New York City-based singer-songwriter Lacy Miller is back with a powerful new single, One More Dance, set to release later this summer. Deeply personal and emotionally resonant, the track is the result of years of reflection, artistic evolution, and meticulous studio work.

The origin of One More Dance traces back to a moment that struck Lacy to her core — someone giving another person one last chance, one they truly did not deserve.

“It stopped me in my tracks,” Lacy recalls. “There was something about the vulnerability and raw hope in that moment. I had to write it down. I didn’t want to forget it.”

That memory became the seed of One More Dance, a song that explores the themes of forgiveness, longing, and the bittersweet courage of hope.

Though the song was written years ago back in 2018, Lacy knew she needed the right moment — and the right team — to bring it to life. When she was ready to record, she reached out to longtime collaborator and producer Ariel Delgado. Known for his intuitive and textured production style, Delgado took Lacy’s original demo, her notes, and reference tracks and began sculpting an instrumental foundation that honored the heart of the song while bringing a fresh sonic depth.

In May, Lacy traveled to London to record at 123 Studios, teaming up with engineer Danny Monk and vocal producer Cameron Richardson-Eames. The session was intimate yet intense, with a laser focus on capturing the emotional nuances of Lacy’s performance.

The process began with multiple takes of Lacy’s lead vocals, with Cameron guiding the phrasing and delivery to bring out every subtle shift in emotion. Together, they combed through the recordings, selecting short phrases and single words with painstaking care.

“We weren’t just trying to get a perfect take,” Lacy explains. “We were building a performance that feels like a conversation — like someone letting you into a very private memory.”

Once the lead vocals were set, Lacy turned to the harmonies — a specialty of hers. Layering both high and low harmonies herself, she built a rich, choral texture that elevates key moments of the track, especially in the chorus. The result is a vocal landscape that feels both intimate and expansive.

Her husband, Jonathan, was present in the studio, offering his lighthearted humor, and capturing behind-the-scenes photos as the music came to life.

“Having him there meant the world to me,” Lacy says. “He’s been with me through so much, so to have him in the room when it finally came together was so meaningful.”

One More Dance is now in the final stages of production, with mixing and mastering handled by the acclaimed Brett Shaw. The anticipation is building as fans await what promises to be one of Lacy’s most moving releases to date.

With its haunting melody, rich vocal textures, and a story rooted in compassion and emotional truth, One More Dance is more than just a song — it’s a moment, captured forever in sound.

Keep an eye out for the official release later this summer — and be prepared to hit repeat.
